Theme of My Research Log

The motif of these blogs are to document the frustrations and difficulties of science. In his insightful article, Schwartz (2008) articulates, quite deftly, how research can make the best and brightest people feel stupid. The article is well worth a read so I will not reiterate all the points here other than this. As Scwartz points out, our ignorance is infinite and we must "muddle though as best we can (p. 1771)" and that we must be productively stupid in our approach to doing research. These posts will be my musings as I muddle through my own, I hope productive, research stupidity.
